Outside paintings of Trinity Church in Ipatiev Monastery in the middle of 17th century

Annotation

Outside paintings of temples, that almost full losing, are the most not studied part of the Russian monumental painting history in the 17-18th centuries. The author of this article succeed for the first time on the basis of photographic materials of Trinity Church in Ipatiev Monastery restoration in 1912 to restore the program of an outside paintings of east and northern cathedral facades. On paint style corrected the date of first painting (1654). Painters from Kostroma wrecked over devastator in 1655.
