Annotation

The article provides an important source of personal origin of one of the representatives of the Imperial House of Romanov – the diary of Grand Duke Andrei Vladimirovich 1914–1917, which he kept, while being in the headquarters and in the army of the North-Western front, in Petrograd and Kislovodsk. It describes the beginning and the other episodes of the World War I, the assassination of G. Rasputin, and the abdication of Nicholas II.
