Annotation

Modern historical science pays attention transformation of socio-economic situation and the mentality of women in different historical epochs. Relatively recently, researchers' attention turned to the daily lives of women of Russia during the World War I. That is why, as well as owing to the relatively poor knowledge of the war itself, which has in the national historiography epithet "forgotten", the potential of archival sources on the issue not only exhausted, but did not open until late. Do not make an exception and the State archives of the Tomsk region. Mobilization of men led to the need for women to self-determination. According to documents can be traced as the choice of methods offered by the state (for example, benefits and if necessary defending the rights to them), and search for alternative ways. Significant number of women to the beginning of the war did not own diploma sufficiently and as a result, have not been able to personally look for information from the front, as well as to correspondence with mobilized. In Tomsk gubernia it was to spread the original method of solving the problem described in this article. Trend empowerment of the labor market can be traced to a number of documents. As a result of their analysis concluded that increasing the amount involved in the service of women and expanding the list of their positions. It has been studied as an interesting source of information about professional and age-sex composition of the population, as the lists of voters for the elections to the Constituent Assembly in the city of Tomsk. The results also suggest expanding the range of women mastered professions. According to documents traced the predominant role of women "soldiers' wives" in the unrest and riots in the province in the final period of the war. In the reports of various levels emphasizes that the proletariat and the peasantry in these events have been relatively quiet. Finally it is concluded the high potential of the State Archives of the Tomsk region for the study of the socio-economic status of women in the period called "Second Patriotic war".
