Catherine II and the Romanovs in her “Memoires”

Annotation

“Memoires” of Catherine II is outstanding monument of the Russian culture of the last quarter of XVIII century. It is a source of the great value about of Romanov’s history. There is unique evidence about 4 members of royal family: impress Elisabeth, her nephew impress gr. d. Peter, his wife Catherine, their son Paul. But the most interest of “Memoire” is a possibility to get real notion of Catherine II herself.
